This product consists of cefixime and lactic acid bacillus which is used in combination because lactic acid bacilli aids digestion in the gut and prevent the diarrhoea from occurring which is the side effect of the drug cefixime.

Cefixime Trihydrateis a semisynthetic antibiotic and is used mainly for bacterial infections Cefixime stops the bacterial growth by preventing the multiplication of bacteria and formation of their cell wall.

Lactic acid bacillus enhances the action or absorption of intestinal lactases and slows down the intestinal transit.

Mechanism of Action-

Cefixime inhibits the peptidoglycan which is responsible for the formation of cell wall and thus without cell wall bacteria dies.

Metabolism- It is metabolized in the liver
Excretion- It is excreted via urine
